Brighten your life (and maybe someone else’s, too) by making one or two little tealight houses over two days.

Peter Rumble, handbuilding maestro, will guide, jolly, and gently cajole you into delving the depths of your building and decorating creativity, helping you make the most of this two-day workshop.

This is a “no handbuilding experience necessary” course. You’ll learn the basics of working with slabs as you go, constructing two small houses: a rectangular form with a separate base and roof, and a cylindrical form that can be turned into whatever takes your fancy. You will make up to two houses during the workshop and you’re welcome to work from a standard former (provided –recommended for first-timers) or adapt the plans into your own unique design.

Bring your creativity, along with food and drink to keep you going. Clay is provided, along with a small set of hobby craft knives that you can keep.

NOTE: Participants will need to arrange and pay for their own glazing and firing.
